Acne

Acne is a struggle for many

From a young age at one point in our lives, we all struggle with acne, but for some it is a continuing problem. You’ve tried every product on the market? you’ve spent hundreds of dollars on expensive products that claim to leave you acne free? there is a solution to this that will give you the result you’ve been scrupulously trying to achieve

Skin Health

Acne is a battle you don’t need to have anymore

Stay hydrated

Drinking plenty of water will help prevent your skin from becoming overly dry.

Eat omega-3 fatty acids

Salmon, tuna, walnuts and flaxseed will help protect your top layer of skin and keep moisture in. Omega-3s also prevent inflammation and help maintain cell structure and function

Avoid processed foods and sugars

When sugar comes in contact with collagen (a protein), a reaction called glycation occurs. Glycation can damage collagen

Using the right products for your skin

Many people are usi

ng products that aren’t suited to their skin needs and are not getting the results they would like; acne free skin. Some people have a combination mix of sensitive-oily skin, sensitive-dry skin, oily-dry skin. You go from having oily skin with those dreaded whiteheads that pop up faster than you can get rid of them, to dry, sometimes sore skin. This can depend on what you’re eating, what season it currently is, what products you’re using, hormones and some medications you may be taking. Our friendly staff can recommend the right product for your skin needs for all seasons, skin types, age and skin sensitivity. Some products have harsh chemicals in them that you may not be aware of that can dry out your skin and make it dry, sore and leather-like feeling.

Note: We recommend speaking to your GP about medication or hormone concerns.

This process all starts with a conversation. From there we will use our Facial Skin Analysis equipment to determine what’s going on with your skin. We take a picture of your face to map out your skin type and measure for spots, wrinkles, texture, pores, UV spots, brown spots, red areas and porphyrins. We use this to measure the best cause of action for your situation and our friendly staff will talk with you about your options and what YOU would like to do from there. Simple and pain free and will only take a small amount of your time.

Next, after discussing your options, we start treatment based on your skin type and what options would give you the best possible result. There are a few options to consider:
